This post is part of the 12 Days series.
2011 marked the year that the second and final Macross Frontier movie got its video release, much to the elation of many Macross fans. It proved to be much better than everyone had expected, and is near the top of my list for the best offerings of the year.
I was particularly entranced with Sheryl’s awesome feats, the best one happening near the climax of the film, where a dying Grace hands her back her earring. Despite her body failing, Sheryl resolves to die singing, and faces the ruins of City Frontier with only her voice, which hasn’t lost a drop of its vitality. It is with her song that Alto tracks her down.
It’s just a lead-in to the best song performance in the franchise, but it’s the precise moment where I thought “wow, shit just got real.”
Surprise, surprise, it got even realer. But that’s another story!

Gah, I want to watch this! (Also, maybe I’m just too hungry, but I insta-clicked when I misread ‘The Bacon of Song’)
Duuude, it’s ok. End of the Triangle is the Bacon of Song. SIZZLING.
Bacon is always good~
