Megatokyo AGP Spawns Sora Kake Navi Game

As round 2 of the Megatokyo Anime Grand Prix ’10 begins, a novel campaign appears.

In the match of Hitagi Senjougahara vs Imoko Shishido, user Telliamed unveils his masterpiece work: a little shmup starring the potato Navi against a crabby boss.

for Windows
for Mac for Linux* 32-bit for Linux* 64-bit

[*] requires libsdl1.2, libopenal1, libdevil1c2, libphysfs-1.0-0, liblua5.1-0, among other things…

[**] Forgive the bugs that are surely in the game. I know that the sounds buffers are easily maxed-out. And I don’t have a joystick to test with so I may have really screwed that part up. I’m not even sure if it’ll work right on Linux or MacOS. And I apologise for not having enough time to put in bombs. That’ll have to wait for round 3… hint, hint

(I uploaded the files to MU as not to screw up Telliamed’s server)

It’s nothing you Toehoe players would break a sweat at, but it’s still quite good. I’ve seen some great, imaginative campaigns in the past couple of AGPs, but this is a game, and it’s trickier to pull off than it seems. Considering that Senjougahara is the fan favorite this year, Imoko’s having it tough!

You can cheer her up by voting in the thread. Signups probably needed, though.

Touhou players won’t even break a sweat, but non-touhou players shouldn’t either.

Well, it’s not really anything to write home about, but it’s a great effort.

There have been some games for other characters as well. 😛
