1. Haruka Amami
2. Chihaya Kisaragi
3. Miki Hoshii
Conflict and drama! A multi-episode arc!
I sort of understand why it took Haruka this long to have her own episode. Honestly she’s a very ordinary character (I wouldn’t say bland, though), and works much better when paired off with a counterpoint, such as Chihaya. I think she embodies the show in the sense that she’s this inoffensive, well-executed thing that’s better than it sounds. And she makes for a good litmus test–if you find yourself particularly hating her, then why are you still watching this show?
The episode was simple in the sense that there’s this concert thing, and how the 765 girls dealt with the difficulties of rehearsing. The challenge was hard and they nearly would’ve made compromises by toning down the dance routine, but they worked hard anyway to pull it off. The execution was great, and the girls overcoming the obstacles was pulled off believably.
Chihaya was very solid this week. She had chemistry with Haruka, and her melancholy wasn’t as heavy as in episode 3, thankfully. I don’t think I could handle another one like that…
I liked how Yukiho had more to her than just androphobia. Takane is still lols.
Someone on the staff must really like Iori. And it’s confirmed that she and Yayoi are BFFs.
There’s some heavy Miki stuff happening this episode. Miki still can’t get over not being a part of Ryuuguu Komachi, despite her talent. I don’t approve of her attitude of self-entitlement, but it ties well with her personality.
Wonder what will happen next week! If it’s Miki, it sure could be anything.
