1. Miki Hoshii
2. Chihaya Kisaragi
3. Haruka Amami
Playing hooky was never this fun.
This episode went predictably, but Miki was characterized well, despite my dislike of teens running away from responsibilites. Miki exhibits the typical scenario of a genius losing her drive, after not getting the immediate results she wants. And being in a carefree family, it’s easy for her to view the world as her oyster.
Yeah, she’s spoiled, but she does want to achieve something. It’s just that she sees Ryuuguu Komachi as a means to that end (being a top idol), and not born out of some scorn towards her peers. I can live with that. I’m still not convinced that she’ll behave after this episode, but oh well!
I’m pretty sure those ducks paddle hard with their feet underwater. I read it in a book, but I forgot where exactly from (it’s not even a textbook!) If it’s true, then that makes Miki’s analogy very lols.
I kind of wished they intensified Chihaya’s reaction to Miki’s apology in the end. Some real tension would be nice, and it would be great to see two polar opposites clash. At any rate, Chihaya did well this episode, reminding the girls that they are total pros and bonding up with Haruka.
Next week is concert week? I’m thinking of writing a half-time post for this rankings series soon, so stay tuned for that.
